This procedure had been created, in its original form, by Alan Walter as "Presence Three". I have since reworked, remade, added to and expanded the techniques therein to make it more effective, and to address related spiritual/mental material that was beyond the scope of the original. I consider this sequence of identity processing steps essential and indispensable. The results tend to be spectacular, and nearly every client I’ve used this procedure with on the first time through, has remarked, verbatim or very close to it. "I can’t wait to see what my life is going to be like now!" Identity processing can be very rewardingly and effectively used when chronic inappropriate/undesirable attitudes are manifesting in a your client. The more experienced and perceptive one is or becomes as a practitioner, the more obvious and frequent the manifestations of identities becomes. Anytime the client has just been run on any form of incident processing (including Dianetics, shock handling, any variant of Power Process 6, Traumatic Incident Reduction, etc) some form of this question can and should be asked: "Is there some identity/persona/beingness you came to wear after encountering/experiencing (the material of the base incident just processed)?" Far more often than not, the answer will be "Yes", and an identity that has been dominating much of the client’s presence, attitude and behavior will now be available for processing and resolution. The resultant restoration of self through this procedure are of such magnitude that it falls upon the processor’s shoulders to avail the client of these gains at every opportunity. Identity Processing procedure: 1. Where are you? 2. How big are you? 3. (If the identity has not already been identified:) Name the identity you wear. Get name. 4. Where is (named identity)? 5. Describe that (named identity)? 5A. What process is (named identity) running on others? 5B. What are the consequences of that? 5C as needed ask: Describe its mood level. What game does it play? What are its attitudes? What are its attributes? What are its abilities? What are its liabilities? What are its powers? What are its weaknesses? What are its problems? What are its solutions? What are its opponents? What are its allies? What are its behavior patterns? How does it communicate? What does it look like? How has that (named identity) imprinted on your body? What has that (named identity) imprinted on your body? 6a. How long has that (named identity) been in existence? b. How long is that (named identity) intended to be in existence? 7a. How big is that (named identity)? b. How big are you? Unless the identity has "vanished"for the client, run: 8a. Where is the (named identity) b. Where are you? c. How big is (named identity)? d. How big are you? Repeat a-b-c-d over and over until the identity no longer is present as a self-replicating entity, the client is much bigger than the identity and expresses having had a big gain/realization/change. 9. If the client has too much difficulty in accomplishing step 8, check for unpleasant sensations and do Unpleasant Sensation Handling 2.0 as needed. 10. (A) What purpose or goal is connected with the existence of (named identity)? (B) What have the consequences been of having that purpose? (then ask if any more consequences, until all consequences are fully expressed) (C) How does that purpose seem to you now? (repeat if/as needed, to bring to cause indicators). 11. Has there been a condition that (identity) has been taken on as a solution to? If a condition does come to mind, run PrPr6 Open Flow Dichotomy, with the condition as one dichotomy item, and the ideal condition that registers with the client as the opposite of the first condition named. 12. Run the Opposition Process "With the _______ identity…." 13. Alternate/repetitive: A) What has manifested in the interactions between (named identity) and others? B) What consequences have resulted from that? C) Are there any other consequences resulting from that? Repeat until all interactions and their consequences have been expressed and examined, and the client has no material to answer with, and/or to a big gian/realization. 14a. Connected to the (named identity), are there any unpleasant sensations? If so, get them named and do Unpleasant Sensation Handling on them. b. Connected to that (named identity), are there any pleasant sensations you cannot easily experience? If so, get them named and do Unpleasant Sensation Handling on them. c. Connected to that (named identity), are there any pleasant sensations that you must experience? If so, get them named and do Unpleasant Sensation Handling on them. 15. As a (named identity): a. What have you done? b. What could or should you do? c. What haven’t you said? d. What could or should you say? e. What have you restrained? f. What could or should you restrain? Repeat these steps until a positive change and/or realization is accomplished. 16. a. How have you helped and/or contributed to a (named identity)? b. How could you help and/or contribute to a (named identity)?" c. How has a (named identity) helped and/or contributed to you? d. How could a (named identity) help and/or contribute to you? Repeat these steps until a positive change and/or realization is accomplished. 17. Creative Processing Repeat the full sequence until complete ease and consciousness of creating/adopting and uncreating/dropping the identity is fully realized, with recovery of serenity in relation to this: (1) "Get the idea of being (identity), and be and remain completely aware of the shift" (2) "Get the idea of not being (identity), and be and remain completely aware of the shift" (3) "Get the idea of being (identity), and be and remain completely aware of the identity, and its attitude and how it feels" (4) "Get the idea of not being (identity), and be and remain completely aware of the lightness and effortlessness of no presence of the identity, and its attitude and how it feels" (5) "Decide to be (identity), notice the shift, its attitude and feelings, and remain completely aware of the decision to be (identity), and the shift" (6) "Decide not to be (identity), notice the shift, feel the lightness and effortlessness of no presence of the identity, and remain completely aware of the decision not to be (identity), and the shift" 18. a. How have you worked in harmony with a (named identity)? b. How could you work in harmony with a (named identity)? c. How has a (named identity) worked in harmony with you? d. How could a (named identity) work in harmony with you? Repeat these steps until a positive change and/or realization is accomplished. 19. Describe in full three dimensional holographic detail your vision of the fully actualized ideal spiritual relationship for you to have with a (named identity). Corresponding Game Sphere Identity Steps "Is there an identity you’ve encountered to whom being (identity) has been the response?" (2) "Feel the presence of (any identity given in answer to the above question) manifesting completely here and now and allow it to be here, fully in your presence. Effortlessly, with no resistance, no reacting, simply feel and experience (identity)" Take up any observable reactions by asking what’s happening, acknowledge, and then "Now return to feeling the presence of (identity) completely, effortlessly, with no resistance, no reacting", and continue until the client actually, fully and stably accomplishes this, long enough to be satisfied that this has been done, with some expression/manifestation of serenity in relation to experience the presence of this identity. (3) If more than one identity has been given in response to the first question, do step two (separately, of course) on each identity given, to full completion. 20. Do all the full Identity Processing Technique steps on each identity given in step 19. 21. Final Step: Name all the identities that have been run through this entire cycle of steps 1-20, and ask the client to articulate/name the actual game that all of these identities have been involved in playing together, and run the steps of the Opposition Process, prefacing questions (1) and (3) with "Within this game of (the name the client has given for this game)…." to the point of having fully reached a very meaningful realization and release. Once this has been accomplished, let the client know that this full cycle of Identity Processing has now been completed. Dexter Gelfand January 25, 2016
